2 Nature of Calculators and Calculation Limits

All tools hosted on YardCoverageCalc.com—including the Mulch, Topsoil, Gravel, Sand, and Cubic Yards calculators—rely upon standard geometric formulas:

• Volume Formula: Rectangular volume is computed via (Length ft × Width ft × (Depth in ÷ 12)) ÷ 27.
• Material Weight Approximations: Bulk material weights (such as 2,300 lbs/yd³ for topsoil, 2,800 lbs/yd³ for gravel, and 4,050 lbs/yd³ for concrete) represent typical industry benchmarks. Moisture content, aggregate gradation, and organic compaction can cause variances of 15% to 25% or more.
• Not Structural Engineering Advice: Calculations are not certified structural, geotechnical, or civil engineering plans. For foundation footings, commercial retaining walls, and civil concrete slabs, consult a licensed structural engineer.

3 Intellectual Property Rights

The design, layout, interactive code, custom user interface components, SVG graphics, explanatory guides, conversion tables, and mathematical formulas published on YardCoverageCalc.com are the intellectual property of YardCoverageCalc.com and are protected under international copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws.

You are permitted to print or export contractor estimate summaries for personal or commercial landscape project quoting. You may not republish, scrape, mirror, or repackage our underlying code or content for a competing digital service without express written permission.

4 Permitted and Prohibited Uses

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Engage in automated scraping, data mining, or programmatic bulk querying that impairs server performance.
